Some files could not be opened

I did not open the samples right away, but when I tried to open them several file said, "something went wrong" and I could not open them.

One of my favorite reads of all time

Beautiful and gripping! I loved reading it. I also loved the Winter King and the morals behind it. I love Christine Cohen's works!

We love Chickadee!

We love Chickadee! My son is enjoying making his way through the series and loves putting his sticker on the map when he masters each book. Thanks for making engaging, quality early readers!

Great books

Totally recommend these books for new readers!!!

Not a great book

Not a great book. Hoodoo and spiritual/demonic power has a hold of the main character. She eventually steers away from hoodoo but never truly repents and is still the heroine. Plenty of material to discuss with your children but not a book that was enjoyable.

So excited to use this curriculum with my 2nd grader. He can’t wait to build the simple machines and i love that it comes with all the books we need.

Shallow

This test was limited and too easy. It was also biased in it's questions about the author's religious background. Canon Classics is slanted in its worldview guide and the test follows suit.

Can’t wait to read it!

Mixed Feelings

Having never studied Latin, I chose this curriculum in part because I liked the idea of reading stories, as well as the advertising that it was no prep/prior Latin knowledge required. While I did like the story structure of the book, my children and I were all disappointed that the curriculum did not have actual pictures with the stories, they leave it blank for the students to draw the pictures so it was far less visually engaging than anticipated.
It also had some serious errors in editing: words that students were expected to know that they had never learned and were missing from the vocab list in the back of the book, as well as a lack of explanation on quite a bit of structure. I found myself looking up Youtube explanation videos whenever it was time to learn a new declension, case, adjectives, prepositions, etc.
Over all, now that we have a better understanding of sentence structure, I will purchase the next level of this curriculum in hopes that it will make more sense but for the first level, it required quite a bit of time on my part to research and understand the different rules and structure.

Excellent

I got these for my 6 year old who's learning to read. He found the stories engaging and loved the pictures. I have found a lot of introductory readers to trend more feminine in topic and illustration style and he wasn't super interested, but he really liked these. Having the sticker map also creates a great visual aid for progress with markers along the way. We've set a prize for when he earns all the stickers.

The sin of the rock

There is nothing inherently sinful about a rock just like there is nothing inherently sinful about placing oneself in another's shoes to understand their state of emotion.

When Cain used a rock against Abel, the usage of the rock does not make the rock itself sinful. Rather, the action against Abel was sinful regardless of how it was carried out.

Therefore, to title a book in a way that equates empathy itself with sin instead of unbalanced applications of empathy is inherently a form of lying that is non-Christian and ironically a sin by definition.

Love this mug. My new favorite.

Well bound proper hardback bookswith nucely printed cover sleeves. Good quality paper and printing.

Very Helpful!

What a blessing to have a peek into the curriculum you're considering purchasing! I have 4 children in different grades, and this was very helpful in my preparation for our upcoming school year. Thank you for making this available.

Great way to learn cursive

What better way to have your kids learn cursive than to learn the letters and then follow that up with practicing their skills with writing God’s word and other sayings that are morally upright and in alignment with a biblical worldview!

Just started a book discussion through My Dear Hemlock. This is helpful in pulling out passage for discussion.

I ordered 10 of these for a book discussion at our church and the went so fast that I had to order 10 more! I read or listened to the book several times before deciding to do it as a group discussion. Fabulous book!

Thank you very much looking forward to reading it.

Just What We Needed!

This guide is working great for my students. I like the mix of question types: vocabulary, content, inference, application. There's enough there to assess comprehension and get students to think but since each chapter has only 3-4 questions we aren't spending too much time on any given day.

Directly Applicable to Life

New to vocational ministry. I have found this book directly applicable to not only ministry, but everyday life. From assessing my response to the latest news story or national outrage, to handling conflict within my household. It's a great guide to biblical judgement.
